I noticed this article on what Robert Sands said about the gambling situation. I think he is trying to divide the different wealth classes further. Here is what I posted on the article.
OMG NO! Trying to further separate the different classes of people in
the Bahamas by giving the rich rights others don't have because of
wealth is downright sickening. Taking away rights is never anyone's
benefit, they are losing their liberty which doesn't seem to matter to
Mr.Sands. Just because something is legal doesn't mean everyone is going
to go out and gamble. If you made cocaine legal today people aren't
going to flood the streets with white noses and tweaking. The number
houses are actually quite genius and progressive thinking whether the
people, Christian council, or politicians like it or not, they are most
likely here to stay as long as they provide jobs and contribute to the
flow of money in the country. So make gambling legal give us our
liberties, and maintain our human rights.
I think Mr Sands may be more of a racist and an essentialist in his comment. But there could be a financial reason at hand, perhaps he doesn't think Bahamas is bankable.
ReplyDeleteAlthough places with casinos has plentiful of jobs and wealth. After all he could be a racist prick who just wants to withhold it from Bahamas.
Thanks for commenting input is welcome. The financial reason really is just to keep the rich an have the poor stay poor by lessening the rights of those not of the same income bracket.Racist might be a little extreme lol but there is something shady afoot.
